Can you believe we are half way through the year!?  Well, here we are in July. The garden is popping as have been the summer storms lately.  The zinnias, daylilies and bee balm are offering up new blooms daily.  After focusing my efforts on completing the mosaic facade, I’ve been able to get back to the garden to reclaim what’s there.

Flowers are one form of nature’s fireworks!  My love of gardening, especially flowers, is portrayed throughout the mosaic facade.  The representations are reflective of what is growing around the studio grounds.  I have visual connections to flowers throughout my life.  One such image is of me holding a flower while sitting in a high chair at Momma Driver’s house.  Another is an image of me sitting in my teenage bedroom with the crazy floral wallpaper I’d been allowed to choose.

July!  My birth month….when my personal calendar begins anew and we celebrate America’s independence.  I am grateful for the life I’ve lived and the unlived life ahead.  May we all be free to live the life we want to create.  Thank you for joining me on the road ahead!
