My step daughter, Ashlie, was a tall girl! Flamingos were her totem. A reminder to Stand Tall! Ashlie was one of my cheerleaders. She was an artist herself and an art teacher in Key West. She was one of my biggest supporters following John’s passing. It’s was a crushing blow to loose her way too soon a few years ago. She is represented on the Bell Buckle Mosaic House with her Red Glasses in the upper left corner of the facade. And, her totem, those flamingos are spreading beyond the facade of the BBMH to the East side and around back by the back doors. I have made them from over 6′ to 2″. I see no end to the Flamingos. I continue to remember Ashlie and others we have lost since then.
